Overview
EveryFirst collects nothing. There is no account to create, no server of ours that your data passes through, and no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK inside the app.
What you enter
Your baby's name, birth date, sex, and an optional profile photo; the milestones you record (title, date, age, notes); any photo or video you attach to a milestone; and growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference) you log.
Where it's stored
Everything is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. If iCloud is available and signed in on your device, the same data also syncs to your own iCloud private database through Apple's CloudKit. That private database belongs to your Apple Account — the developer of EveryFirst has no access to it and cannot read, export, or delete its contents.
If iCloud is unavailable (no account, or no connection at first launch), EveryFirst stores everything locally on-device only and keeps working fully offline.
If you choose to share a baby with a partner, that baby's records travel between your iCloud and theirs through Apple's CloudKit sharing mechanism, in both directions: what they add shows up in your copy and what you add shows up in theirs. If you share as view only, it goes one way: they see what you record and cannot change it. The developer still has no access to any of it, and nothing about the other person is collected.
Sync & third-party services
EveryFirst contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising, and no analytics. The app makes no network requests of its own; the only network activity is Apple's iCloud/CloudKit sync, which you control in system settings, and Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases.
A background "remote notification" capability is used solely to receive silent CloudKit sync pushes from Apple; those arrive without showing you anything and transmit no data to us.
Milestone reminders and on-this-day memories are a separate thing: iOS schedules and delivers them on your device, from records already stored there, and nothing about them is sent anywhere.
Permissions
Adding a photo or video uses Apple's system photo picker, which runs outside the app: EveryFirst only receives the single item you pick and is never granted access to your full photo library. Photos and videos are compressed on your device before being saved with the milestone; a video longer than 30 seconds keeps only its first 30 seconds. If you choose Save Image while sharing a keepsake card, iOS asks whether EveryFirst may add that one picture to your photo library; declining changes nothing else in the app. Reminders start out off; turning them on, in Settings or from the card the app shows once you have recorded something, is when iOS asks whether EveryFirst may send you notifications. Declining leaves everything else working, and you can change your mind later in the iOS Settings app. EveryFirst requests no other device permissions.
Purchases
EveryFirst Pro purchases, both subscriptions and the lifetime purchase, are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. EveryFirst does not see or store your payment information; Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
Children's privacy
EveryFirst is a record-keeping tool for parents and guardians to track their own child's milestones and growth — it is not directed at children as users, and no personal information is ever collected by the developer, about a child or anyone else. All data you enter about your child stays on your device and in your own private iCloud database.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
